Ridley Scott has revealed how he would bring Maximus back from the dead in a sequel to Gladiator. In the director’s Oscar-winning epic, Russell Crowe’s brave General Maximus survives his betrayal and attempted murder at the hands of Joaquin Phoenix’s scheming Commodus and is metaphorically resurrected as a gladiatorial warrior who rises to become even more popular than the emperor. Google announced yesterday that it will be ending support for its YouTube Data API v2 used by older devices. For Apple users, this means the YouTube app will no longer work on iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches running iOS 6 or earlier; users instead will have to rely on the mobile web version of YouTube at m.youtube.com going forward. The change also affects some Apple TV users, as only the current 3rd-generation 1080p Apple TV supports YouTube’s overhauled channel; prior-generation models will entirely lose access to YouTube…...

Google Podcasts has been built out in beta on Android and the web over the past several months, and now it’s getting some big updates. Today, Google is releasing an official Google Podcasts app on iOS as it officially reveals a redesign for the service. The European Commission has proposed that the 3% tax would be levied on companies which make ‘significant revenues’ from online services in EU countries.
