One of the most requested services for Apps customers is finally available, Google+. The Google apps flavor of the service is packing the same features as normal, but it also incorporates sharing on an organizational level. By default the service will be disabled for domains, but administrators can manually enabled it from the Apps domain control panel. However, convincing domains, businesses, or organizations to enable this service might seem a daunting after looking over several pages of fine print attached....

Chromebooks might be a cheap option for schools to roll out and manage, but not all of them are easy to repair. Thanks in no small part to education, Chromebook sales also jumped massively due to the move to remote learning as a result of the pandemic. According to Google, 50 million students and teachers are using Chromebook from its partners. To support admins who help these users, Google has launched the Chromebook repair program....

As part of its Google I/O developer conference today, Google is offering some updates on its Google Places API for iOS as well as future updates arriving for its Maps app. The Google Places API for iOS, first launched in beta mode a few months back, is now available to all developers and will be arriving soon in a number of notable iOS apps. The API lets devs tap into Google’s database of points of interest....

Google just announced a nice update for users of its Google Play Movies & TV app for iOS: the ability to download both movies and television shows for offline playback without an internet connection. Google first released the app in January giving iPhone and iPad users access to its movies and TV shows streamed over WiFi. Google just announced the feature on Google+ and the updated app should be rolling out to the App Store any minute....

The world seems to have changed entirely from 2005 when this romantic drama series first got started. Back then, smartphones would be deemed alien technology, and having Wi-Fi in every household sounded bonkers. The one thing that remains from then, however, is Grey’s Anatomy. The show just finished up its 15th season and has already been renewed for two more, so it won’t be ending any time soon. There are growing calls for consumers to boycott Apple purchases tomorrow in response to the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Apple is one of three companies being targeted by the #March1NRABoycott as it offers access to NRAtv through Apple TV … Activists say that that the NRA’s TV channels incite violence, reports HuffPost. Business Insider notes that one NRAtv program wants to actually make it easier for people to obtain assault weapons of the type used in the latest school shooting....

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 writer and director James Gunn reveals he cut the scene that had the most Easter eggs. Gunn had a lot of fun with comic book fans everywhere when he made the first Guardians of the Galaxy film, especially when it came to including nods and Easter eggs to characters and artifacts from the comics. Most notably, The Collector’s (Benicio del Toro) showroom wound up being a treasure trove of Easter eggs for fans to spend their time freeze-framing and picking through, with appearances from both Cosmo the Spacedog and Adam Warlock’s cocoon....

The Harry Potter series didn’t ever actually feature any LGBT relationships in the books. So far, the only canon relationship from the franchise was between Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald, but this was only talked about outside of the books. While there was sadly not any representation of the LGBT+ community, there were many opportunities to do so. There are many characters that easily could have been LGBT, as well as many romantic relationships, that would have made narrative sense....

Neville Longbottom; he’s both an underdog and a hero. Many were delighted by his changes throughout the Harry Potter series. We got to see him grow up from the awkward boy with no confidence, into something so much more. There’s no doubt in our minds that Neville was one of the hidden heroes of the series. However, the truth of the matter is, the Neville from the books is quite different from the Neville in the movies....

After five progressively more bizarre seasons, the gritty and outlandish crime drama recounting Jim Gordon’s early years in the Gotham City Police Department came to a close. For a series inspired by the Batman comic book mythos, it had the unenviable task of ending in a way that would herald the Caped Crusader’s inevitable arrival. While normally a Gotham series without a strong Batman presence would have been tantamount to sacrilege, viewers became invested in the colorful characters that surrounded his origins more than superhero himself....

But with his grumpy attitude comes some of the best zingers throughout the series. Even in a not-so-great episode of the series, Michel’s quips are one thing you can always count on. Trying to narrow down a handful of his best jabs was difficult, but we think we’ve found some winners....

Godzilla is known as one of the few Japanese kaiju monsters with virtually no weaknesses. Aside from his massive strength and nearly impenetrable hide, the King of Monsters boasts a powerful healing factor that renders him essentially immortal. Even so, Godzilla does have vulnerabilities, many of which tend to be more mental than physical… and none more powerful than basketball. Several movies have shown Godzilla is susceptible to alien mind control....

Google is experimenting with bringing native Chrome notifications to Mac users via integration with Apple’s built-in Notification Center in OS X. For now the feature is hidden as Google continues development, but there’s a way you can already enable it… A developer on the Chromium site (via TNW) notes that the Chrome teams “are actively working on integrating with the OSX native notification center,” and that the feature can already be turned on in the latest Chrome canary build....
