Apple yesterday released macOS 10.14.4 to the public with features such as automatic Dark Mode in Safari, Apple News+, and more. On the other hand, the update also seems to include one frustrating bug related to authenticating Gmail accounts through Apple Mail. According to a growing number of complaints on the Apple Support Forums, macOS 10.14.4 breaks the process of authenticating a Gmail account. Following the update to Hangouts for iOS yesterday, Google today has pushed a new update to Google Photos for iOS. The update brings the app to version 1.12.1 and includes a few useful changes and speed improvements. First off, Google says the update improves support for burst photos, something the built-in iOS Camera app handles very well. Additionally, the update is said to reduce both battery and cellular data usage. Building on the performance improvements, Google says today’s update also reduces app startup time....

With the launch of the new Gmail earlier this year, many questioned the future of Inbox, the company’s experimental email client. Today, Google announced that Inbox by Gmail will be discontinued next year. According to Fast Company, Inbox will shut down by March 2019.
