Google today is rolling out an update to Google Maps on iOS that bumps the app to version 4.24 and brings a few useful new features for users. Now, users can more quickly order food from their favorite restaurants, as well as easily add photos of places from directly within the app and find plus codes for locations around the world. Apple and Samsung headed back to court yesterday over the patent fight that started back in 2011. After Samsung finished its opening statement today, Apple brought its first witness to the stand, VP of product marketing, Greg Joswiak. Yesterday was consumed with finding unbiased jurors. This ended up being a tricky task and took 74 candidates to select eight jurors. For his part, Joswiak today opened by saying that Steve Jobs built Apple around a central theme of design while showing the jury photos of Apple products....

This includes the Google Lens Real-Time Search Feature which is now knocking into various devices. Real-time searching allows users to point their camera at any object. As an owner of the LG UltraFine 5K Display, I often find myself using my 2016 MacBook Pro in closed-display (clamshell) mode with a keyboard attached to the display’s USB-C port. This allows me to enjoy the best of both worlds — a portable machine for when I’m on the go, and a 5K desktop setup for when I’m stationed at my desk. A Geekbench benchmark has surfaced that appears to reveal an upcoming MacBook Pro revamp. Note that Geekbench scores can be fabricated relatively easily, so this isn’t confirmation of an imminent revamp — but it’s certainly fuel on the fire. The new MacBookPro15,2 model features an Intel Core i7-8559U Coffee Lake CPU.
