This week Microsoft has two groovy deals going to help Mac fans jump onto the Microsoft Office boat.  If you want to score on Office 2011 for Mac Business edition for a bargain, upgrade pricing is the way to go.  Of course, you can also use it to get the Home & Student edition, but who would want that?  The Home version doesn’t even have Outlook!  But nonetheless the Home & Student has a special sale price this coming weekend.

Upgrade Pricing

The upgrade strategy is a little tricky, be sure to read all of the fine print.  However, if you do it right you can easily save at least $50 on the Business Edition of Office 2011 for Mac.  The only bad part is that this is your last week to act on it, any purchases made after November 30 will not be eligible for the free upgrade.  Click here to see the upgrade program site, excerpted details below: If you are wondering where to get a cheap copy of Office 2008, check this Google Shopper list.  The lowest is around $145 or $164 for the Office 2008 for Mac Business Edition Version Upgrade.  The lowest price for the 2011 pack on Google Shopper is roughly the same, but it is only for the 1-pack. The Technology Guarantee product must be requested by Dec. 31, 2010. Requests made after this date will not be accepted. This offer is only for customers who purchase new, genuine, qualifying Office 2008 for Mac products from Microsoft or an authorized reseller. eBay sellers or sellers reselling used products are not authorized resellers. A validated Office 2008 Business Edition for Mac purchase qualifies you for one upgrade to Office for Mac 2011 Home and Business 2 Pack. Customers will be required to confirm their purchase date and enter a valid Office 2008 for Mac product key to register for the Technology Guarantee; the purchase date must be between Aug. 1, 2010, and Nov. 30, 2010. You will also be required to provide proof of purchase by submitting a dated sales receipt from Microsoft or an authorized reseller.
