While some international carriers have rolled out dual SIM support for the iPhone XS and XR, the major US wireless carriers have pushed back official support until “later this year.” However, GigSky has today updated its iOS app which brings support for eSIM on iPhone XS and XR to its North American and worldwide mobile data plans.

Coming with iOS 12.1, Apple flipped the switch on dual SIM support, but the feature is still carrier dependent. Today, GigSky, a company that offers short-term cellular data plans has updated its iOS app to include eSIM support for iPhone XS and XR. This means no physical SIM card is needed to use a GigSky data plan.

The release notes mention the latest version brings the new dual SIM functionality and some bug fixes.

Here’s how GigSky describes its service that’s available in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and more:

  • Support for eSIM on iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR.
  • UI improvements and Bug fixes.

Plans with GigSky start from $10 and using the service with the new dual SIM feature will no doubt be a convenient way to stay connected when traveling and more.
