Will Letty and Javier’s twisted romance continue to Good Behavior season 3? The premise behind Good Behavior has a criminal named Letty (Michelle Dockery, Downton Abbey) released from prison on good behavior. Letty wants to gain custody of her son but her self-destructive tendencies lead her back to crime. In the first episode, she tries to stop hitman Javier (Juan Diego Botto) from killing a target, but the two of them soon become involved in a dangerous romance.
Their relationship continued to evolve into Good Behavior season 2, which ended with Letty herself killing two men, including criminal Teo. After dealing with the emotional consequences of killing for the first time, Letty and Javier plan to disappear for a while. Good Behavior received great reviews for its first season, which was mostly down to the fascinating relationship between Letty and Javier. The show also had a great supporting cast, including Lusia Strus as Letty’s mother Estelle and Terry Kinney (Oz) as Letty’s parole officer.
The season 2 finale of the TNT drama left the door wide open for their love story to continue, but is Good Behavior season 3 going to happen?
Good Behavior Was Canceled By TNT In 2018
TNT sadly pulled the plug on Good Behavior after two seasons in 2018. This probably didn’t come as a big surprise to fans, since season 2 only received average ratings, and there were already signs it wouldn’t return for another year.
Good Behavior Season 3 Would Have Moved The Action To L.A.
Following the finale of season 2, Good Behavior season 3 would have found Letty and Javier heading to L.A. to sell Teo’s drugs. This would have enhanced the show’s noirish tone, and in a message thanking fans following news of Good Behavior’s cancellation, creator Chad Hodge (Wayward Pines) shared a short but fun scene from the planned third season on social media. This depicted Letty and Javier arguing over an expensive car he bought.
A Good Behavior Finale Is Still Possible
Neither Chad Hodge nor TNT president Kevin Reilly are ready to completely close the door on Good Behavior. Reilly acknowledged there were discussions about ways to give the show a proper conclusion that didn’t work out prior to its cancellation, but they were still exploring ways to cap off the story.
Chad Hodge also stated on Instagram season 2 wasn’t the ending and the characters still exist. Good Behavior season 3 likely won’t happen now, but it’s not out of the question the show could receive some kind of one-off finale. There are currently no plans, but TNT appears to be exploring a way to make it happen - whether or not it comes together remains to be seen.
