The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 cast sing and play games in new video clips released from their appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is only a few short weeks away from hitting the big screen, and there is little doubt that this is going to be another major blockbuster. Early reactions to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 are incredibly positive, hinting at a film that is going to be even better than fans already expect. A third Guardians of the Galaxy movie has also been announced already, and it looks like Marvel’s unexpected smash hit of 2014 has got a hit sequel on its hands.

Of course, all this hype and anticipation is continuing to build, as the final promotional images and clips debut and the cast goes on the usual circuit of guest appearances and interviews. And with such a charismatic cast, these interviews are a whole lot of fun to watch - even if they aren’t allowed to give anything major away.

Now, Jimmy Kimmel Live has shared a series of videos on YouTube featuring clips from the Guardians’ appearance on the show earlier this week. There are five clips in total, ranging from twenty seconds to eight minutes in length. The clips feature Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), Michael Rooker (Yondu) and Kurt Russell (Ego The Living Planet) as they talk about the film, sing a little ditty, and play a trivia game about one another.

The mix between interview time and fun games is typical of the late-night talk show format, keeping the energy up with silly trivia as well as more traditional question-and-answer set-ups. The game itself tests the stars’ knowledge of each other’s real lives, including questions on high school stink bombs, childhood injuries, and adult collections.

It’s fantastic to see the cast together (although obviously there are a few Guardians missing from this particular appearance), and the kind of chemistry that they have in real life. It’s also great for fans to get treated to a little extra trivia about the stars.

Unfortunately, the casts’ lips are sealed when it comes to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Avengers: Infinity War spoilers, but that is to be expected. They even joke about not knowing that there is a Marvel ensemble film in the works. In terms of film-related tidbits, the cast does confirm that it was Chris Pratt’s original idea to try to get Kurt Russell on board as Ego (although he didn’t expect that to actually happen), and that Gamora’s makeup takes an hour less per day this time around.
