The skill that the game is referring to here is the Exploration skill, the first skill under in the Expedition tree. In order to unlock this skill, you need a resource called Soul Essence. This resource will drop from enemies during runs. There are two uses for the Soul Essence – you can use it to revive yourself if you die during a run or you can use it to unlock the Exploration skills. For our purpose here, we need to conserve the Soul Essence that you find during the runs. Then, after the run, go into your Talents tab. Next, simply use the Soul Essence and unlock the first talent in the Expedition tree named Exploration. After unlocking this talent, you can get back into the game. Now you’ll be able to interact with and enter vaults during the runs.
