DC Comics has given the world many heroes and villains, and a fan favorite would be Harley Quinn. She has been shown as a psychologist. She has been played by Margot Robbie. She has been in love with the Joker. She has been voiced by Kaley Cuoco. She has joined Catwoman and Poison Ivy as the Gotham City Sirens. She has been shown as an antihero and a supervillain. And she has been the subject of many pieces of fan art!
Down below, 10 amazing examples of this can be seen. Some of them redesign this character, others capture classic Harley, and all of them make us love her even more.
Steampunk Harley
This version of Harley Quinn has given her a steampunk style, which is super fun. Created by artist NoFlutter, it uses accessories such as a top hat and goggles and details such as studs, ruffles and lacing to show this character in a new way.
Steampunk is sort of edgy and definitely unique, so this seems like something she would actually wear! She is also giving us Alice in Wonderland vibes, which also works since her usual outfit matches the Queen of Heart’s color scheme.
Harley, Ivy & Catwoman
As mentioned, this chick can sometimes be found alongside Poison Ivy and/or Catwoman, who are also some not-so-nice characters from DC. In this piece by ArtistAbe, though, they look cute and friendly and girly… not like bad guys at all!
The adventures centered around this trio could never get old. They each have bold personalities and attractive qualities, and seeing them hanging out and posing like this is just great. In fact, these exact versions of them deserve their own show and movie and set of comic books… now!
Pop Art Harley
The pop art style is bold and colorful, with sort of a retro feel, and many comic books use it. Therefore, it is nice to see this artwork by Iurypadilha.
There are vivid colors in the background and on Harley. There is an animated style that makes it easy to imagine her speaking a famous line at any moment. And there is a playfulness to it all, as well, which distracts from the fact that she is really holding weapons here.
Black & White Harley
On the other hand, there is a picture in black and white, which was done by Polarityplus. Even without the colors in her hair being shown or the colors on that card being shown, there is so much life and interest happening!
Once again, she is very cute here, which she always uses to her advantage. Plus, she is holding up a nod to the main man in her life, which is neat. Yes, this is truly a poker face like no other.
Sketch Harley
This next piece is from artist Omar-Dogan, and it utilizes Harley’s signature colors: red and black. So many details in this piece capture her essence, too. Her eyes are glaring a bit, showing off her attitude.
Her outfit is accessorized perfectly since she does care about how she looks. Her lipstick is done in a half-and-half style, as she does things her own way. On the right, she also has tears coming down her face, which reminds everyone of her story and her emotions.
Cute Cartoon Harley
Esther-Shen created a cute cartoon Harley Quinn. Sure, this character has been animated so many times, but this version is very special. From the big eyes to the shape of her head, it is easy to imagine a cartoon in this style. Still, she has all of her edgy and iconic details, like her choker, her heart ink and her red and blue jacket.
She is definitely the definition of sugar and spice, as her looks and personality can sometimes cause people to forget that she is really a villain!
Purple Harley
Diabolumberto’s artwork shows this character in purple and red, rather than black and red or blue and red. The outfit is fitted, in order to show off her muscles, and she looks like a true supervillain. She also has some interesting props sitting around her on that dirty floor.
There are stuffed versions of two very notable men in her life, Batman and the Joker, and there are weapons, of course, since she must be ready for anything at all times.
Harley’s New Toy
This piece is all about Green Arrow giving Harley Quinn a new toy, and it was done by NickSwift. There are many elements to love here, such as the red and black wrapping paper or her green ensemble, but the best part is her face: When given this special present, her facial features lit up, and her expression displayed just how much she loves receiving new weapons.
Joker & Harley
Many people can’t think of Harley Quinn without thinking of the Joker (and vice versa) and these two are the focus of el-grimlock’s artwork. This really seems to sum up their relationship well; Harley is all happy and bubbly, as she is wrapping her man up in a hug, and he looks less than pleased with it all.
She also left some nice lipstick marks/kisses on that Joker card, which probably did not thrill him either. But would he have it any other way?
Her Evolution
Last but not least, there is a cool piece by LadyDeadQuinn that shows the evolution of this character. Her classic look is very harlequin, with the colors and the hat-like accessory. Over time, her look evolved into something more revealing, as she is into herself and uses her body to distract people at times. Of course, there is the professional version of her, as well, shown in the middle there.
And then there is a more Suicide Squad vibe, with crop top tees, jackets and colored pigtails. All of them are unique, and like all of the pieces of art on this list… All of them are amazing.
