Fans of Harry Potter and LEGO should get excited, because 5 new building sets inspired by the films are going to be released in 2019. This summer, fans will be able to bring familiar characters and scenes to life with the release of these new building sets. Fans will be able to recreate some of their most memorable moments in LEGO form, taking the magic into their own hands and rewriting the story as they please.
LEGO has previously released many Harry Potter-themed building sets, including “Hogwarts Castle”, “Hogwarts Express” and “Hogwarts Whomping Willow”, just to name a few. In fact, there are currently six HP-themed LEGO sets available for purchase. LEGO has also released two Fantastic Beasts-themed sets. This summer, fans can recreate even more of their favorite scenes in LEGO form, as exciting and fun new building sets are slated for release. So whether fans are buying for their kids, or for themselves, there’s plenty to get excited for.
On August 1, the LEGO Group will release five new additions to their Harry Potter collection. These sets include: “Expecto Patronum”, “Hungarian Horntail Triwizard Challenge”, “Hagrid’s Hut: Buckbeak’s Rescue”, “Hogwarts Clock Tower”, and “The Knight Bus”. Each set will contain a recognizable setting from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. The sets will range in price from $19.99 to $89.99, with a range of 121 to 922 total pieces, depending on the particular set.
This new release will also debut a number of brand new LEGO minifigures, such as a new Harry Potter, Serius Black, Stan Shunpike, and Ernie Prang. Other beloved Harry Potter characters, such as Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and Albus Dumbledore, are also included in their respective sets, making it as easy as ever to recreate scenes from the films. Of course, players have the freedom to take creative liberties and reinvent the scenes to their liking, or even change the course of events completely.
The LEGO Group and Harry Potter franchise have something in common: their fan-bases span multiple age groups. This makes the pair a match made in heaven, and their collaboration continues to produce new and exciting products for fans. Even more good news is that fans will hardly have to wait to get their hands on these new additions. So whether one wants to fight Dementors with Harry, battle a dragon, or ride the mysterious Knight bus, these new sets will have them covered.
