Nexus 6 Nexus 6, as Motorola puts it, is a ‘bigger phone with more everything – more screen, more speed, more power. As hinted previously, the smartphone features a six-inch Quad HD display, powered by a 3220 mAh battery that’s just as big. To be more exact, we’re talking about a 5.96-inch 1440×2560 display with 493 ppi. The smartphone also comes wit Motorola Turbo Charger which gets up to an additional 6 hours of battery life in just 5 minutes....

The Google Authenticator app for iPhone was updated this evening with an entirely new design. Version 2.0 introduces a host of visual changes, including the long-awaited addition of Retina graphics (which have been missing from the app since the iPhone 4 launched) and support for the iPhone 5. Even after the long wait for what seems like a relatively minor update, the app still does not natively support the iPad....

Daring Fireball‘s John Gruber today makes note of his complaints about iPad magazines (all valid), including the large files and static page sizes. But he also mentions casually, but apparently factually, that the iPad 3 will have a 2048×1536 Retina Display: Unfortunately, there is no timeframe given to this and with some expecting a Fall upgrade and others putting the release update as far out as next March, we’ll have to wait and see....

Grand Theft Auto 5 Online has added a new competitive racing game mode called Open Wheel Racing to its multiplayer in its latest update. With this new update also came two new Formula One-style cars, seven new race tracks, and the new Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS), a rechargeable speed boost. All of which were made for this new faster and more technical F1 style racing. GTA Online allows players to host and join customizable racing lobbies with a variety of different racing types....

With prominent roles in both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, the characters have clearly not faded from public consciousness. What has faded, however, is the momentum generated by Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2, particularly regarding the tease of Him, better known as Adam Warlock....

Fan-favorite auteur Guillermo del Toro has talked with Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy about ideas for Star Wars. Back when Disney first announced that they were going to be making more films in a galaxy far, far away, after buying Lucasfilm in 2012 from George Lucas, fans everywhere began instantly talking about the dream directors that they’d want to see make one of those Star Wars film. One of the most recurring names in all of those lists was del Toro, and it wasn’t especially hard to see why....

It was back in 2013 that the first blueprints of handguns appeared online for public consumption. The gun in question was the Liberator, a gun which cost only $25 to print and was able to fire eight rounds in a single barrel. The CAD files for the weapon were released by Defense Distributed, ran by Cody Wilson, which was the first organization to make 3D printed gun blueprints open-source. This led to a modified design called the “Lulz Liberator” being released by a third-party which could be printed through a commercially-available printer....

Like it always does, Apple released new silicon and leather cases for its latest iPhones. Outside of the obvious camera hole differences, the silicon case remains the same. The leather case, on the other hand, received a subtle, yet notable change. As we pointed out last week, Apple’s new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Leather Case now comes with machined aluminum buttons. As a result, the volume buttons and Sleep/Wake button now have a much more tactile feel that’s significantly more pleasing to use than before....

Earlier this year at CES, Seth and I had the opportunity to test drive the new Chevy Volt hybrid (okay, I actually just held the camera in the back seat) which has one of the best CarPlay screen we’ve seen yet. A bizarre Harry Potter fan theory suggests that Albus Dumbledore was actually Ron Weasley who time-traveled to the primary timeline featured in the series. Every fantasy series has a groveling worm of a character. When watching or reading, its the character that all fans love to hate. For Lord of the Rings it’s Grimma Wormtounge, for Star Wars it’s General Hux. These power-hungry weaklings give the bad guys a worse name than some of the more evil characters. Lingering Malady is a quest in Genshin Impact that you can pick from Aramis in Modstadt at Adventure Rank 30. If you’re wondering where to find Aramis, head over to the base of the steps near the Cathedral. As the quest takes off, the game will mandate you to find a few posters and billboards that are scattered across the city. In total, there are 4 locations that sum up. Each of the 4 locations requires you to scale up on some building....

Google’s MVNO has offered a virtual private network since the service had “project” in its name. As part of Safer Internet Day, the Google Fi VPN will soon be available for iPhone subscribers. In November of 2018, Fi gained an “enhanced network” option that enables a VPN and automatically switches to mobile data when Wi-Fi connectivity is poor. A year later that ability to encrypt your phone’s traffic, along with spam warnings and Wi-Fi calling, came to non-Pixel devices....

Google just announced on the official Google Mobile Blog that it is releasing a Google Offers app for iPhone. The app is available on the App Store now for United States users, which is just in time to take advantage of today’s Netflix deal that offers movie theatre tickets for $1 to new subscribers (free one-month trial available here). Google outlined the available cities and some features for the iPhone app below:...
