Google CEO, Eric Schmidt denied that a potential social network of theirs would resemble Facebook with his statement, “the world doesn’t need a copy of the same thing.” This upcoming social gaming network, already dubbed Google Games, would be a Game Center competitor as it will most likely make a push to the mobile space, as Zynga and Electronic Arts games have already. After recently hitting the 5 billion download milestone on Android, Google Photos is looking to target the other side of the mobile OS fence with some new features. Google researchers have discovered “multiple security flaws” in Apple’s Safari browser, a new report from the Financial TImes says. The flaws were found in Safari’s Intelligent Tracking Prevention feature, which is designed to protect users from cross-site tracking and other online privacy concerns, and have since been fixed. The report from the Financial Times cites a soon-to-be-released paper in which researchers from Google’s cloud team explain the vulnerabilities. According to the report, Google researchers have identified five different attacks that could result from the security flaws in Safari....

James Gunn is returning to write and direct Guardians of the Galaxy 3 come Marvel Phase 4. Gunn made the announcement prior to the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 press junket to avoid wasting hundreds of media questions about the future and whether or not he’ll return. He’s also made it clear that Vol. 3 will end his story and that iteration of the team. That doesn’t mean the Guardians are done when Vol....

Smartphones are fragile and might get damaged with even after one or two drops and even if you are someone who doesn’t occasionally drop his/her phone (no one does either), it tends to develop errors and problems at some point. The creative director for the highly anticipated Halo Infinite is no longer working on the game and has left 343 Industries altogether. Halo Infinite is currently in deep development, with a scheduled release window of holiday 2020. Halo Infinite and its development have been something of an enigma since the game was announced. The company first unveiled the next major Halo title at E3 2018 with a teaser trailer built in the new Slipspace Engine....

The head of Halo Transmedia, Kiki Wolfkill, recently spoke at a Fortune conference in Singapore on ways that the company keeps the beloved Halo franchise relevant.
