The report explains that Google has hired several key chip engineers from Apple, including well-regarded chip designer John Bruno… At Apple, Bruno was responsible for the silicon competitive analysis group. This group is Apple’s way of ensuring it stays ahead of other chip makers in terms of performance....

Google has just quietly released a new app on the App Store called “Who’s Down”. As you might be able to tell from its name, the app will apparently — once there are people who are actually using it — let you see which of your friends are free to hang out.
