The Goonies confirmed that it existed in the same universe as Gremlins based on an exchange between the Sheriff and Chunk. Gremlins memorably introduced the world to the mogwai and the reptilian creatures they could turn into. Both movies from the mid-’80s have gone on to become beloved cult classics. Google today updated its Maps application for iPhone and iPad to version 3.2 introducing new features and improvements. The latest version of Google Maps now supports viewing search results with descriptions directly on the map view. Gmail users will notice appointments and reservations with addresses will now appear the map view as well. The update supports changing between the map view of results and the list view of results and features an explore view for discovering new locations to try out....

Andrew ‘weev’ Auernheimer was sentenced today for his role in the 2010 ‘hack’ of AT&T’s iPad database in which he and an accomplice brute forced a weakness in AT&T’s network to gain access to the names and other details of iPad owners on AT&T’s network. His security group, ‘Goatse’ (don’t Google it), then showed the information to Gawker. It published some of the more famous names in the records including entertainment stars, active duty Congressmen, and high-ranking military figures....

Halloween Kills has finished shooting and the film’s production released the first photo of adult Tommy Doyle and Lindsey Wallace to commemorate the occasion. The upcoming movie is a sequel to 2018’s Halloween, which itself rebooted the slasher franchise by ignoring every other installment made since the original Halloween (1978).
