Google is out today with a brand new set of productivity apps for iOS with the release of Google Docs and Google Sheets for both iPhone and iPad. Previously, documents stored in Google’s collaborative productivity apps were restricted to access in Google Drive or browser-based web apps. While both Google’s word processor and spreadsheet editor have appeared on the App Store, Google says that Google Slides, its presentation app, is “coming soon”....

Google has released an update to Gmail for iOS this afternoon that brings “Insert from Drive” and “Save to Drive” functionality to the iPhone and iPad. In a move to establish more constancy among devices and its set of standards, Google is now blocking the flashing of Google Apps (better known as GApps) package on unrecognized devices. The Android devices of the latest built have to undergo the Compatibility Test Suite(CTS) to use GApps. Failing to do so, the device will be labeled uncertified and the user’s access to his Google account gets blocked. Although Google Blocks GApps on the uncertified devices, it spares the devices loaded with custom ROM....
