The Daily Mail this week broke news that Apple plans to introduce a smaller, less well-featured iPhone nano, proposing this would appear in time for Christmas and would be made available to O2’s pay-as-you-go customers. Naturally, a chorus of derision met this report, with Apple watchers rejecting the whole notion of such a plan – ‘why would Apple want to cannibalise iPhone 3G sales?’, they asked? Perhaps because with a billion handset per year mobile industry, there’s space for many different configurations of device....

More developers are stepping forward with early looks at upcoming third-party keyboards for iOS 8. Today, Ginger Keyboard is going public with a keyboard that focuses on customization. The actual keyboard itself while used across iOS 8 does not add much new functionality, but many users will likely enjoy being able to completely customize the design of their keyboard. One of the secret Monarch outposts on Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ viral website, Monarch Sciences, was revealed in the movie’s latest promo. Last summer, Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment officially began their marketing campaign for Michael Dougherty’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which is finally hitting theaters five years after Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla reboot released in 2014 - and it also comes two years after the release of Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ Kong: Skull Island prequel movie....

Several new character, story, and franchise details about Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Warner Bros.’ MonsterVerse were unveiled recently thanks to multiple set visit reports. Years ago, Legendary Entertainment managed to strike a deal with Toho to develop a new Godzilla movie. And since Gareth Edwards’ 2014 reboot became a critical and commercial success, Legendary and WB decided to push forward with a full-fledged shared universe that will lead to an ultimate showdown between Godzilla and King Kong in 2020....

New Titans are introduced to Legendary’s MonsterVerse in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, one of which is Behemoth, a monster based on a beast from the Bible. Behemoth is just one of 17 Titans who roam the Earth in the MonsterVerse. Only some of them were included in King of the Monsters. Four of them took center stage while a handful more appeared only briefly. All of the kaiju action in Godzilla: King of the Monsters came from Godzilla himself, Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah, as the four Titans were thrust into a conflict that endangered the entire planet....

Back in May I published a post highlighting my voiceover and podcasting setup. In that post, I noted that I had recently switched from the KEF Egg Wireless Digital Music System to the Kanto YU5. Google today has updated its Google Duo video calling application for iOS with support for the iPad. Previously, Duo users were forced to use the scaled up iPhone version of the application on iPad. Optimization for the iPad comes as part of Google Duo version 39, and is the only change included in the update for iOS users. On the Android side of things, tablet support has been available for a while now, but today’s update brings some additional optimization....

There’s no doubt, Google Assistant has tons of features that help the users in their daily lives and of all probably the most important is the reminder feature. A quick notification that lets you remember vital, at times vital medications as well, things you tend to forget. The update fixes an issue that affects the Microsoft Teams app on Pixel phones, which froze devices after users made an emergency call. Microsoft deemed that it was caused by an unintended interaction between Teams and Android. Google and Microsoft prioritized the fix because it affected emergency calls. Google, which has been warning Android users to update the Teams app, nods to the issue in its latest security advisory. “Fix for issue preventing emergency calls in certain conditions while some third-party apps are installed,” it says in release notes....
