Still, the ribbing on display in the spot shows how the members of the Guardians fight just as much as any family....
Jamie Lee Curtis has released the first-look footage from Halloween Kills, hinting at how Michael Myers survived the events of the last movie. Following the success of 2018’s Halloween (a direct continuation of John Carpenter’s 1978 slasher classic that ignores every other sequel since), Blumhouse and Universal are moving forward with a pair of new installments in the forms of Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends. Co-writer and director David Gordon Green is back at the helm for both films, which he’ll shoot in rapid succession for releases dates in October 2020 and 2021....
The Halo video game franchise is being adapted into a TV series by Showtime, but the show lost its director at the end of 2018 when Rupert Wyatt announced that he was no longer associated with the project. Wyatt has finally revealed why he joined the Halo TV series, and explained the circumstances that caused his departure. It’s taken a long time for a live-action Halo project to enter production, with a Halo movie planned as far back as 2005 that had Peter Jackson acting as the executive producer and Neill Blomkamp as the director....
The first iOS 14.5 beta was released earlier this month to developers with several new features, and iOS 14.5 beta 2 arrived this week with even more changes. Among the new features, Apple has made some interesting changes to the Music app, which now includes a new way to share lyrics and revamped menus. When Apple first announced Apple Watch, one of the things I was most excited about was the ability to use third-party bands. I was surprised when Apple announced the capability and even though I was pretty sure I was going to buy an Apple Watch, third-party band support solidified my choice. Harvard Law professor Susan Crawford and former special assistant to President Obama has written a blog post setting out the reason why she believes it is legally impossible for the FBI to win its case. Apple suffered a significant blow in the ongoing patent battles with Android competitors today when a Mannheim regional court in Germany ruled against an Apple appeal. The court backed an earlier decision that banned Apple from offering the service for synchronizing emails on Apple’s mobile devices that use iCloud. Thermonuclear. The judge adjourned a decision on mobile communication standards, which Motorola Mobility regards as standard-essential. He didn’t say when the court will rule on this patent case....

An engineer with Mozilla hinted that the final Firefox 4 build will be ready for public consumption the following Tuesday, March 22. It’s set to ship on multiple platforms, including Windows XP. Following up on a recent Release Candidate build, Damon Sicore, Mozilla’s senior director of engineering, mentioned the March 22 release date in a Mozilla Development discussion on Google Groups. He wrote that powers that be “have indicated that March 22nd is an acceptable final launch date,” but warned that another release candidate is possible should the team encounter last minute setbacks....
Green Lantern, a frequent member of the Justice League, has been noticeably absent from the DCEU thus far. While there have been rumors that a member of the Green Lantern Corps will show up in Justice League, it will likely not be until the Green Lantern Corps film that we see Hal Jordan or John Stewart in a significant role. That film is currently slated for a 2020 release date, but pre-production is starting to heat up....
